Commercial real estate finance firm Lument has doubled the size of its capital markets team, announcing five new hires as well as the launch of an office in New Jersey.
The firm, a subsidiary of ORIX Corporation USA, said the new additions include Hirsch Simins, Jacob Cohen and Mark Vinitsky as managing directors, David Jungreis as senior director and Ben Retter as director. The team joins Lument from Walker & Dunlop and now works alongside Managing Director Ryan Norwood and senior directors Joshua Perew and Ralph Wurzburger, serving investors in multifamily and other asset classes.
The company’s new office is in East Rutherford, as the platform offers what it says is a broad selection of alternative debt and preferred equity finance solutions from capital sources such as banks, debt funds, life companies and conduits. The expanded team also originates agency and balance sheet loans.
“In this economy, it is more important than ever to have a wide range of options to offer clients,” Lument CEO James Flynn said. “Our decision to create a capital markets group of this caliber reflects our determination to connect an even broader universe of investors with the capital they need to pursue their goals.”
Led by Senior Managing Director Rick Warren, the team collectively secures or places an average of $1.44 billion annually across multiple asset classes, according to a news release.
“Building an experienced group is a critical element in Lument’s strategy of developing deeper relationships throughout the commercial real estate industry,” Warren said. “These new additions bring extensive relationships that complement our existing strengths in multifamily and investment sales, enabling us to do more for our clients.”
